Supply of staple provisions

Our own experience of holiday cottages has shown us the importance of sustaining basic provisions for guests so that they do not have to start from scratch and buy everything for themselves when they arrive. Food is mostly kept in the two corner cupboards in the kitchen.  If a standard item (salt, flour etc) is running low at the end of your stay we ask you  to leave a note, to help the person cleaning and replenishing at the end of the week to get in new supplies for the next guests after you leave. We hope that this – which requires a little cooperation between guests and hosts – will prove a useful benefit.

Welcome hamper for your first supper/ breakfast:

• luxury chocolate biscuits and shortbread;

• oatcakes

• locally made scones

• pot of jam

• crowdie (a Hebridean cream cheese)

• loaf of brown bread

• butter

• half dozen eggs

• pack of bacon

• 2 litres of milk
